Jon, who merged his practice 'Law and Associates' with KPMG in 2002, is one of the partners from which the firm takes its name.  He has over 18 years "Big 4" experience in the provision of audit, accounting, corporate recovery and consultancy services to clients operating in the local and offshore industry. Jon's clients cover a wide industry range including banking, insurance, tourism, government and the foreign aid sector. Jon also has considerable understanding of the local laws and customs relating to the business environment in Vanuatu, and is the Senior Partner of the firm and responsible for many of our firm’s clients.

Cheryl Ling FCA (England and Wales)
Partner

Cheryl is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.  She rejoined the firm in 2007 after being in Vanuatu 10 years previously,and became a partner in July 2008. Cheryl is KPMG trained and brings with her a wealth of technical professional experience and local knowledge from years with KPMG Peat Marwick, then KPMG (in London, Hong Kong and Vanuatu) and most recently with Hawkes Law.   Cheryl also has a number of years private sector experience, which, together with her technical capabilities and a particular interest in financial control / process reengineering and quality assurance will provide real benefits to our clients.

Vicki became a Director of the firm in July 2008.Vicki previously worked for the firm from 1999 to 2001 in the role of Corporate Services Manager.  She has a detailed knowledge of Vanuatu's corporate statutory, business and other regulations having worked with our international and local business / investment, international banking and insurance industry etc clients for over six years. Her other experience, in New Zealand and Australia, has been in both the private and public sectors including financial services practice management, contact and processing centre operations management, organisational restructuring, business process re-engineering, quality assurance and HR.

Julie Hawkes CA (Australia)
Administration Manager

Julie joined our firm in Vanuatu in 1986 after working with major international accounting firms in Australia, England, Jamaica and then establishing a consulting firm in the Sultanate of Oman. She has extensive experience in computerised accounting packages, business plan writing, and budgeting, NGO accounting and reporting. Her work experience dates back to 1975 with KPMG/ Peat Marwick Mitchell, names by which our firm has been known previously in Vanuatu.
